Description and Personality: Gavik is an outcast of his people, a tribe of Thurkasian nomads. Gavik was a teenager when his father Dravat fell under a witch's mind-curse. Dravat concealed the enchantment and let it slowly poison his mind until it overwhelmed him and he attacked four women. When he was found and tried for his crime, he was branded and exiled. Gavik and his sister Vonnda chose to leave with his father, and the three of them lived on the edges of the Chenurall forest in their homeland. They learned survival skills and both siblings danced with rage, something the tribes normally frown on but quite acceptable in their extenuating circumstances.
Dravat was killed in an owlbear attack when Gavik was asleep when he should have been on watch, and the young man has never forgiven himself for allowing his father to die. Angry at his former tribemates for punishing his father despite being under a curse, Gavik has loyalty only to himself and his sister, though he is a man of his word. He has come to Manifest to find the ghost of his father and ask for forgiveness, but suspects that his father will never forgive him and expects to die in shame, which gives him a very depressed and fatalistic demeanor. He carries his father's sword.
