    Pain's Memory: This +3 unholy wounding light flail was found in the Bright Desert by a group of adventurers after receiving a vision from Heironeous. A trophy from a battle between manifestations of the Oeridian brother gods, Pain's Memory was smashed from Hextor's hand by Heironeous and came to Oerth like a falling star. Searing the ground where it struck, the event attracted the attention of all in the desert that witnessed its fall, and a great battle ensued to claim or destroy it.
    The flail has a particularly large handle and can easily be used two-handed. It glows red with profane power, and those struck by it are said to have nightmares about the lingering agony of its touch for months after the wounds have healed.

    Note: The fate of this item is being deliberately left vague at this point because this item is the goal of the game I'm running at Winter Fantasy and (a) I don't want to give too much away, and (b) I wan't to see what happens in the two game sessions before I announce anything here. :)
