Archer, Iron Heroes line. Another simple mini to assemble, just two pieces (the left arm and bow are a separate piece). As with the Religious Fanatic, I drilled all the way through the shoulder, placed the shoulder-hole over the torso pin, glued & puttied, trimmed the pin as close as possible, then puttied over the shoulder pad to conceal the rest of the pin. The mini normally has an arrow held in its left hand and lying along her forearm, but in the prepping I ended up bending it (it has to be very skinny to look at all appropriate in scale with the rest of the figure) so I trimmed it off with my knife and replaced it with a (somewhat oversized) plastic arrow from a Games Workshop sprue).

The goal of this mini's paint scheme is a sort of camouflage effect, though more of a "dirtied up" variance of colors you might get in a fantasy-era ranger than a modern military setup. Base color for the green parts is a darkened Emerald, base for tan parts is Woodland Brown. Cowl and wood are a yellowed Woodland Brown, crossbow and flesh are a dark brown craft paint. Metallic parts are Gun Metal highlighted with Truesilver. The player suggested brightly-colored feathers on the arrows (perhaps to help the archer identify different magicl powers on them). You can't really tell in these photos, but the arrowhead and the bow are decorated with tiny runes drawn with a micropoint felt pen.

Flocking is a mix of green, tan grassy stuff (an herbal material from Michael's used to make scrubby soaps), and a little sandy-stony mixture.

I painted this for someone on Monte's boards in exchange for him doing some typesetting work for me.
