    This is an Inshon With Multiple Eyes from Iron Wind Metal's line of Arcana Unearthed minis based on the creatures of Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed.
    Because inshon are froggy and poisonous, I decided to paint it like it was related to real-world poisonous frogs, which often have very bright coloration and interesting patterns to warn away predators. Though the inshons are tough, at some point in their evolutionary history they were probably prey to some other creatures, and therefore may have developed similar coloring to protect themselves.

    This inshon is painted to somewhat resemble a dendrobates reticulatus poison frog, which has a bright orange mottled back and the rest of its body a spotted black-on-white pattern. For the mini I decided to leave the arms white to contrast them with the spotted legs (so the parts of the miniature are more distinguishable when viewed on the table) and make the stomach and chest orange just so that area wouldn't look quite so plain (I often prime my minis with white primer, so large white areas look unfinished to me).

    Base color is White Leather highlighted with Dragon White. Spots are Granite and dotted with black. Body color is Burnt Orange with dots of Ember Orange over that. I was going to stop at those two orange colors but they're similar enough that it's hard to tell there's a pattern, so I added a small dot of Spring Yellow to each Ember Orange dot to make it more visible (and makes it look very warty and pustulent, which is gross but appropriate). Because the arms run near the legs and feet, I did a shading from the Dragon White on the elbows to Granite on the hands, transitioning through Dove Gray. Much of the base is painted with Volcano Brown and Troll Flesh, and to show the inshon as a dirty swamp creature I dirtied up its feet with spotty washes of both of those colors, thinned to reduce their opacity. Loincloth is black highlighted with Walnut Brown. Spear haft is Chestnut Brown, the metal bits are Steel Plate and Truesilver. He has two fish tied to the back of his loincloth strap, one bluish, one grayish. Bracelet on the right wrist is Bright Gold with studs picked out in Fire Glow.
