(I think this is a Ral Partha mini, but it might be a Grenadier mini.) I really dig this guy. There's so much detail in his sculpting that you could easily give it a base color and a couple of drybrushes and have a great-looking mini. I've had it for a while and have been looking forward to painting it, and when I finally sat down to do it I decided to give it the extra effort it deserved to make it look really good. Base color is Forest Green, generally drybrushed with Elven Green. I made a darker Elven Green for the feet and an even darker one for the quasi-gap between his legs, as not only does this mean you pay less attention to the legs, but it reflects that the lower parts are going to get wetter and more mildewy than the upper parts. applied successively lighter mixes of Elven Green to the outer surface of the arms, and more to the face and hands, to make those parts of the bodies stand out more from the general figure. Then I went a little kooky with other variant green colors, touching up vines or leaves to make them darker or lighter and just to vary the coloration. Some of the bigger leaves were touched up with greenish-yellow, yellow, yellow-orange, orange, and orange-red, showing leaves that have started to turn fall colors. There are also some little berries I picked out in bright red. I washed the eye sockets in a diluted brown paint, then dotted the eyeballs with Elven Green and a yellowish-green.
