I went kinda crazy on these. Willow likes glitter and I got her some glitter paints in different colors. So after basing these guys in maroon (the same maroon as the azer) I drybrushed them in red glitter paint. It didn't work totally well, and I had to do the shading (orange, tapering to yellow at the top) over it, but you can still see some of the glittery bits, which is kinda cool and fiery. The red parts were drybrushed with a fiery red to make the salamanders look hotter than the relatively cool maroon color.

These minis normally have a spear, but I don't like mini spears because they tend to bend, so I cut the spears off and filed and drilled the hands so they were bare, resulting in a more dramatic "I'll get you my pretty!" pose.
