This is the Skeleton from the Diablo Monsters set of miniatures. While I have a box full of plastic Warhammer skeletons, I painted all of those quickly (because you can always use a horde of skeleton grunts). This one I took time with and I really like how it turned out, from the drybrushing and dirt on his bones and skull, to the remnants of mail under his shirt, to the bloodstains on his weapon. This guy is probably some sort of unique undead or at least more than just a grunt skeleton; I have five more unpainted ones like him and I'll be doing each a little differently just so I can tell them apart in battle. |
